Residents are advised that Powys County Council has announced changes to household waste and recycling collection days.
From Monday 2nd March 2026, the majority of households across the county will move to a new collection schedule. This is part of a wider review of waste services to improve efficiency and ensure collections continue to run smoothly across Powys.
Powys County Council will be sending letters directly to affected households in the coming weeks, outlining their new collection day and any other relevant details.
If you would prefer to check your collection day online, you can do so using the County Council’s postcode checker on their website.
We encourage all residents to look out for their letter or check online in advance of the changes, so you can be prepared when the new collection day comes into effect.
If you have any questions about how this may affect you, please contact Powys County Council’s waste services team via their website.
