High Street Works Starting January 2026: Delivery & Parking Updates

We have been made aware of the following information from the trunk Roads Agency regarding the work in the High Street which will start early January 2026.

Business Deliveries…All deliveries for businesses along the High Street will be maintained. Closer to the time, the contractor will provide details and put provisions in place to allow delivery access through the closure when required.

Alternative Parking…discussions are ongoing with Welsh Government and Powys County Council regarding alternative arrangements. Once an approach has been agreed, they will provide further details.

Just as a reminder to everyone: according to the timetable supplied by the Trunk Roads Agency, the road works will be suspended from 6th December (when the work in the Castle Street area is due to finish) to 5th January, when work commences in the High Street.
